Every third Monday of the February is a public holiday in U.S on the ground of Washington’s Birthday. This day is also known as President’s Day here and was dedicated in the honor of the first president of US, Mr. George Washington. 17^th February will be celebrated as President Day, 2015.

The first president of USA- Mr. George Washington was held in his position from 1789-1793 and then again he was re elected till 1797. He was a military person before inscribing his name as president. His position in American Continental Army was indispensable during they won against British in the year 1783. He is also regarded as the father of USA and has pocket his name on top among the best ever politician in America. United States still reflects Washington’s name at several places in USA. Mount Rushmore National Memorial of South Dakota even has his portrait along with other three presidents of USA. You can also see his picture on the one dollar bill or in the coin of quarter dollar. Capital of USA, Washington D.C has more than three universities which has his name. Earlier it was celebrated only in Columbia district till 18805 but since then it was announced as federal one. Earlier it was fixed to 22^nd of December later it was shifted to third Monday of February.
